My work is visceral and intellectual; raw and refined. Inspiration comes from the things around me - derelict industrial sites, junk yards, natural surroundings, and people - their everyday lives, their discards, their keepsakes - creating devices and histories that never were.

Art has always been part of my life. Mostly self taught, I experiment with many different media, including acrylic and oil paints, papermaking, and photography. My current focus on mixed media assemblage is born from my love of history, both natural and cultural, and of items old and well-worn. I view brokenness as an opportunity for change and transformation - both in art and life.

My work has been exhibited at Karitos Arts Conferences, Flower of Life Art Gallery, Gallery Seven, Tall Grass Arts Center, and in the streets of Lockport, Illinois.
